Find, swap, sell or share homemade and homegrown food with your neighbors and local farmers. A local food classifieds right in your pocket!
I walked into my parents backyard one day and noticed the ground was covered in rotting plums that had fallen from their tree. My folks like plums just fine but they had way more than they knew what to do with so they just let them go. What struck me though was that I'd been at the supermarket down the road just the day before, where I saw shoppers paying a premium for mediocre plums that most likely came from hundreds of miles away! That's when I thought there’s gotta be a simple way to connect people to the food that's already in their neighborhoods. Thus the seeds of Ripelist were planted.
Find yummy stuff for sale, trade or for free from the gardens and kitchens of your neighbors.
Make a killer pickle or berry pie? List it for moolah and get some serious street cred as well!

Questions? Comments? Suggestions? We'd love to hear from you! Feel free to contact us at any time.
All you need is an iPhone 4s or newer with iOS 8 or 9 installed. To post a listing or contact a seller you just need to create a free account.
By installing Ripelist on your phone you can browse food listings in your area and see how close they are to you. Simply creating an account or logging in via Facebook will allow you to post food item listings, make food item requests, and communicate with other users.
Free. There is no cost at this time to use Ripelist and we hope to keep it that way.
Anything can be traded as long as it's legal! As for selling, bills are getting passed in almost every state that make it easier to sell certain foods you've made or grown at home. Check the link below to see what is legal in your state.
Our team is committed but small so we have only had the resources to do one version well. We hope to grow soon though so we can get Ripelist out to everyone else!
Currently there is no way to rate users or leave them a review but we plan on rolling this feature out in the near future.
Although, not the primary focus of Ripelist, for the sake of not wasting food, posting purchased food is allowed as long as it meets local, state and federal guidelines. We do ask that you be upfront about what it is.
Yes you are welcome to post local food related events (classes, tastings, farm tours) and materials and equipment ( manure, garden/kitchen tools) used for the making and growing of food.
Although your location is never shared with anyone, Ripelist needs to know it in order to let other users see how far they have to come to get that zucchini you listed.
